GEARBOX, DRIVE & MOTOR PLATFORM OPTIONS - Startrite V/T/R/S

Startrite V, T, R & S vertical saw gearbox spares.

Single Speed – These will be vertical bandsaws such as 18-S-1, or 20-S-1 that only have a single speed.

Five Speed – These bandsaws (typically stylized 30-V-5, or 18-T-5) have a five step pulley that is used to give the machines 5 speeds.

Ten Speed – These bandsaws (usually stylized 24-S-10, or 14-V-10) gave the same setup as the five speed machines, but with the addition of a high/low gearbox that gives the saw a total of 10 speeds.

Variable Speed – The Startrite variable speed vertical bandsaws are usually the R Model bandsaws (typically stylized 20RWF or 30RWH) has a winding handle on the front of the bandsaw, used to vary the speed while the saw is running. These also have a high and low gearbox for a quick step change.
