Gearboxes often fail due to issues such as seals & bearings becoming worn over time, or more complex issues, such as damaged gears. Having your gearbox serviced or repaired in this case can dramatically reduce your costs against a replacement gearbox. (It is also worth mentioning that replacements gearboxes are not always available, but we can usually repair your gearbox.) With a service exchange, we can reduce your down time to the minimum.

Blade Guides Recondition – 24 Hour Turn Around

Blade Guides performance may degrade over time as components wear. We will replace all bearings & worn components. Depending on which guide system you have, we may be able to offer a service exchange.

Band wheel hub bearings will eventually need replacing. Hub bearings can be very tricky to remove and reinstall without the correct equipment, often resulting in misaligned bearings that will only worsen your problem.

Worn quick release vices found on the horizontal saws can wear down with use, causing the Vice to no longer grip your job correctly. This can result in the part slipping as it cuts, leaving you with a host of problems, such as cutting inaccuracies. Tilt Arbour Repairs (Rip Fence Repair, Spindle & Joint Fitting and More) – 24 Hour Turn Around

Startrite Tilt Arbour Rip Fences can usually be repaired when they start to wear, The casting may become worn, or the locking mechanism may no longer work correctly, meaning the fence won’t sit square to the blade. It is usually much cheaper to have this repaired than replaced.

Universal Joints on the Tilt Arbours have been known to fail over time. the replacement joint has be to drilled through while attached to the spindle, to ensure the holes can be located correctly when fitting the pin. This is something that can be done at home, or you can send in your spindle when purchasing a replacement universal joint and we’ll take care of it for you.
