Important Information – Fitting MEBA Fibre Gear
- Failure of this gear is normally due to a secondary fault. Before fitting the new gear ensure all broken teeth are removed from the bandwheel drive gear & it is thoroughly cleaned & lightly greased.
- Failure of the fibre gear can be caused by the bandsaw blade jamming in the guide system, failure of the idle or drive bandwheel bearings or bad operator practice. These secondary faults MUST be addressed otherwise the new gear will suffer premature failure.
- Ensure you have bought the fibre gear that matches the one previously in your MEBA saw.
